David Evans BA (Hons) FCA
My experience: After graduating from the University of Bristol in 1983, I joined a local Preston firm of accountants and gained a broad range of experience in accounts, audit and tax before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1987. Soon after qualifying I moved to another local firm of accountants where I spent the next 17 years in various roles within both audit and tax as I have a passion for the general business interests of the owner managed business as they seek to meet the regulatory requirements yet maximising the return on their investment. I became a partner in 1996 and continued to this role until 2004 when I again moved to another local firm based in North Lancashire and specialised more in the accounts and audit side of the profession whilst maintaining my general tax knowledge. 2010 saw my move to Bishops and now with 40 years in the profession I am excited by the new venture with Bishops Audit Limited.
Interesting fact about me: Although I count Lancashire as home, I was born some 2,700 miles away across the Atlantic in Canada.
In my free time, such as it is, I enjoy tending my garden and family life.
